Where climate, racial and social justice collide >< and rise.
Intersectional. Decolonial. Collective. Urgent.
Climate, racial, and social justices are deeply intertwined, yet, public discourse and policies continue to treat them as separate issues - undermining the contributions of these communities, seeing them as passive “beneficiaries,” not as leaders. Vulnerable, rather than agents of change.
intersection exists to break through these silos, centre frontline voices, and build collective power and results.
Our goal?
Connect, amplify, and mobilise those at the true intersection of these struggles, because real justice demands we address them collectively.
intersection is a borderless network bringing people together to bridge movements, align efforts, and build intersectional climate solutions grounded in social and racial justice.
We centre:> Black, Brown, Asian, Indigenous Peoples, and other racialised communities — including Arab, Latinx, Roma, and Pacific Islander peoples;
> people with disabilities,
> LGBTQIA+ communities,
> working-class, refugees, and stateless individuals,
> and all those living at the intersection.
These people and communities working in the frontlines of change have constantly been told they’re too complex, too angry, too radical - too much.
Yet they’ve always been at the heart of resistance and change. The systems harming our planet are the same systems harming our communities: colonialism, white supremacy, capitalism, and extractive power. Climate solutions that ignore this only replicate the harm.
intersection exists to change that.
We reclaim space, connect those on the frontlines, and build collective power to organise, resist, and transform — locally and globally. We reject extractive spaces and performative inclusion — instead, we centre lived experience, ancestral and frontline wisdom, bold ideas, and the leadership of those most impacted.

Through community, creative resistance, and collaboration, we map the people — and with them, the projects — already driving transformation. From protest to mutual aid, storytelling to system change, this is where movements converge to reimagine a future that’s equitable, regenerative, and ours.
intersection is for those on the frontlines of change pushing climate justice through a social and racial justice lens:
especially from Black, Brown, Indigenous, Asian backgrounds.
working across migration, housing, anti-racism, disability rights, LGBTQI+ and more.
shaping narratives for justice.
pushing intersectional approaches.
rooted in decolonial, anti-oppressive frameworks.
working in-house, in private practice, or pushing for systemic change.
engaged in cross-issue work.
Every member of this network embodies resilience, compassion, and an unrelenting commitment to justice. They confront the challenges at the intersections of climate, social, and racial justice head-on - transforming deep care and passion into meaningful action and lasting change.

We’re building a community for those often sidelined but always doing the work. For the ones connecting the dots, breaking the mould, and refusing to choose between issues - because justice is never one-dimensional.
At intersection, our values are more than words, they are actions. These commitments ground our work, guide how we show up, and ensure we remain accountable to the communities we serve.
These commitments shape not just what we do but how we do it, collectively.
We believe climate action must address racial, social, and economic inequality, not as side issues, but as core to any just future.
We exist to amplify people and communities often left out of the mainstream climate narrative.
Our work acknowledges that identities and struggles are interconnected. We reject one-size-fits-all solutions.
We work collaboratively, relationally, and across sectors, valuing lived experience as much as expertise.
We challenge systems, push boundaries, and refuse to water down our vision of equity, dignity, and collective liberation.
Our work is grounded in community care, bold action, and a commitment to showing up with integrity, always.
This network is about people, finding each other, sharing power, and building movements together.

Chourouk Gorrab
Founder
Long-time communicator and co‑founder of The Spill, an online publication working with writers from marginalised communities.I'm a strategic communications specialist passionate about representation - bridging the gap between climate, social, and racial justice through storytelling and systems change. Curious by nature and a late-bloomer to 'public' advocacy, I found solace and an insatiable appetite in exploring these spaces. For over a decade, I’ve worked at the crossroads of media, research, technology, sustainability, and equity - shaping narratives that move stories from the margins to the mainstream.
"I founded intersection as a response to what I’ve witnessed throughout my career: how climate action often leaves racial and social equity behind."
- Chourouk Gorrab
Through intersection, I’m building a safe space where justice-led leaders and changemakers can unite to reimagine how we collaborate - across movements, geographies, and lived experiences - to create lasting, collective impact. My work centres care, justice, and visibility because I believe that storytelling and solutions - when rooted in respect, inclusion, and liberatory justice - can transform not just perception, but power.Find me on LinkedIn

“I want to stand by the river in my finest dress. I want to sing, strong and hard, and stomp my feet with a hundred others so that the waters hum with our happiness. I want to dance for the renewal of the world."
- Braiding Sweetgrass, by Robin Wall Kimmerer
At intersection, I help build and nurture our growing community - creating spaces for dialogue, collaboration, and solidarity. I’m guided by curiosity, reciprocity, and a belief that creativity can be a powerful tool for transformation.Find me on LinkedIn
How to Get Involved
intersection is a growing community powered by collaboration. Whether you want to volunteer, partner, or co-create, we’d love to hear from you. Share your skills, ideas, or initiatives at the crossroads of climate, social, and racial justice, and help us build collective power that rises beyond silos.→ Reach out to explore volunteering, collaboration, or partnership opportunities.
The intersection network is in its early stages. Here’s how you can be part of it:
Fill in the form to express interest in joining the network. It's free to join.
Approved members will be added to a soon-to-be public directory - a space showcasing who’s doing what, where, and how. I'm evaluating the need for a private directory to protect those at risk.
Submissions are reviewed, and if aligned with the network’s purpose, your membership will be confirmed by email. Responses may take some time as we move carefully and intentionally.
We’ll gradually invite members to one-to-one conversations to better understand your work, needs, and interests. This will help us seed future connections and collaborations.
A Voluntary, Values-Led Project
This is a living, evolving platform, shaped by those who join. We’re building this platform as a living lab — a space for collective collaboration, to test what meaningful connection, support, and collaboration looks like in climate justice work.As a voluntary initiative, this platform relies on unpaid work, self-funding, and is currently not set up as a formal organisation. As a member, your details will be shared publicly only if you feel comfortable with it. If anything changes — in structure, funding, or purpose — members and the public will be informed transparently.
We're building a living map of individuals, across borders, working at the intersection of climate, social and racial justice.

Rooted in the wisdom of Latin American Indigenous communities, this saying invites us to reimagine, rewrite, and regenerate the stories we live by - and the ways we show up in the work we do.
